Join LF&E, one of the UK’s leading healthcare logistics providers. Since 2008, we’ve supported the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors by delivering vital medication safely and on time to patients, pharmacies and healthcare organisations across the UK.
We are looking for an experienced Cover Depot Supervisor to provide operational leadership and management cover across our depots in the South of England.
This is a roaming, multi-site role, covering Depot Supervisor absences including holidays and sickness, while also providing additional operational support when required.
Depot Locations
You may be required to provide cover across:
- Norwich, Wellingborough, Welwyn Garden City, High Wycombe, Basildon, Coulsdon, Redhill, Rochester, Salisbury and Corsham
The Role
You’ll lead teams of pharmaceutical multi-drop delivery drivers and oversee daily depot operations, ensuring everything runs safely, efficiently and in line with LF&E procedures, GDP, MHRA and Health & Safety requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and motivating depot teams and acting as the main point of contact.
- Managing driver rotas, holidays, sickness and attendance.
- Overseeing daily dispatch, route planning and driver hours.
- Ensuring vehicles are checked, safe and roadworthy.
- Supporting recruitment, inductions, training and employee reviews.
- Managing depot and warehouse activities, where applicable.
- Monitoring temperatures and maintaining pharmaceutical compliance.
- Supporting investigations, complaints and HR processes.
- Working with Senior Management and Quality teams to achieve KPIs and maintain compliance.
- Providing driving cover when required.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory, transport or logistics role.
- Experience managing drivers and operational teams.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of GDP/MHRA and Health & Safety is advantageous.
- Strong geographical knowledge and willingness to travel between sites.
- IT literate and comfortable using operational systems.
- Flexible, self-motivated and able to work effectively under pressure.
- Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- First Aid qualification desirable.
- Subject to DBS and reference checks.
- Right to work in the UK.
