Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they escalate
- Follow electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations to ensure compliance during all work activities
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, installations, and maintenance activities for future reference
- Collaborate with other trades and team members to coordinate complex projects and ensure timely completion
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies or system failures to minimize downtime
- Assist in upgrading existing electrical systems to improve efficiency and safety
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, etc.
- Experience operating power tools including drills, saws, and testing equipment
- Strong electrical experience with a solid understanding of wiring diagrams, circuitry, and safety procedures
- Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting heavy materials, and working at heights when necessary
