Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and eager to make a positive difference in people's lives. Previous experience in care environments or home care is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication management
- Supporting individuals with their care plans tailored to their specific needs
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assisting with meal preparation and light domestic tasks
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
- Communicating effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals
- Driving clients to appointments or social activities when required
- Ensuring a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of care home or home care environments is desirable
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to use IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving driving clients
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- No prior experience necessary; training will be provided for suitable candidates
