Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical VSD (Variable Speed Drive) Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining VSD systems utilised across various industrial applications. Duties
- Design, install, and commission VSD systems in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues related to VSDs and associated control systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electrical equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate VSD solutions into existing machinery and processes.
- Document system configurations, modifications, and maintenance activities accurately.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to assemble, modify, and repair electrical components efficiently.
- Conduct testing and calibration of VSDs to ensure compliance with operational parameters.
- Provide technical support during project execution and assist in training operational personnel on system operation.
Experience
- Proven electrical experience within industrial or manufacturing settings, particularly involving VSD technology.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools essential for installation and maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, control wiring, and system troubleshooting techniques.
- Prior involvement in designing or maintaining variable speed drive systems is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline are preferred but not essential if complemented by substantial practical experience.
