Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pre-school Montessori Lead teacher to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, while leading a team of childcare professionals. This role requires strong management and leadership skills, along with a passion for early childhood education. The Pre-school Montessori Lead teacher will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of care and education, fostering positive relationships with parents and staff, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of Preschool, including staff scheduling, resource allocation, and programme planning.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise nursery staff to deliver high-quality childcare and early childhood education.
- Develop and implement the Montessori Method that promote children's development across all areas.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in accordance with legal requirements and best practice standards.
- Maintain effective communication with parents, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns
- Foster a welcoming environment that encourages positive behaviour and social development among children.
Experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team of childcare professionals.
- Extensive working knowledge of childcare practices, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation (e.g., Ofsted regulations).
- Experience working directly with children across various age groups in a nursery environment.
- Qualifications in early childhood education or childcare Montessori Qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent).
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
