The Physiotherapy Centre is an established physiotherapy provider supporting patients across Sittingbourne, Sheerness and the wider Swale area.
We provide personalised, evidence-based care within a professional and supportive clinical environment. Our services include musculoskeletal physiotherapy, sports and work-related injury rehabilitation, women’s health physiotherapy, children’s physiotherapy, NHS physiotherapy, clinical Pilates and specialist injection therapies.
Our experienced team works closely with each patient to understand their condition, personal goals and lifestyle before developing an appropriate treatment and rehabilitation plan.

We are now looking for a motivated and enthusiastic MSK Physiotherapist to join our team.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for both early-career and experienced MSK Physiotherapists looking to develop their clinical skills, broaden their experience and progress within a busy, well-established private practice.
You will assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. The caseload will include self-funding patients, insurance referrals, sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation and patients referred by other healthcare professionals.
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload and appointments while receiving support, mentoring and clinical guidance from experienced clinicians within the wider team.
The role requires someone who is organised, confident and able to deliver excellent patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
We are open to both employed and self-employed applicants and can consider full-time or part-time working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Complete comprehensive musculoskeletal assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Assess, diagnose and manage patients with a wide range of MSK conditions.
- Manage self-funding patients and insurance-funded referrals independently.
- Deliver evidence-based, patient-centred treatment and rehabilitation programmes.
- Provide manual therapy, exercise prescription, education and advice where clinically appropriate.
- Support patients with pain management, injury recovery, mobility and return to activity.
- Establish clear and realistic treatment goals with patients.
- Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans appropriately.
- Manage your own diary, appointments and clinical caseload effectively.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical notes, reports and insurance documentation.
- Communicate clearly with patients, insurers, GPs, consultants and other referrers.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with patients and referral partners.
- Follow clinical governance, safeguarding, infection control and information governance requirements.
- Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, audits and professional development activities.
- Support clinic standards, service quality and the overall patient experience.
- Contribute to the development and growth of the clinic and its MSK services.
Essential Requirements
- A degree or recognised qualification in Physiotherapy.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Strong musculoskeletal assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
- A good understanding of evidence-based MSK treatment and rehabilitation.
- The confidence to manage patients and clinical appointments independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional, compassionate and patient-centred approach.
- Good time-management and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Good clinical documentation and report-writing skills.
- The ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with patients.
- A willingness to learn, develop and respond positively to clinical feedback.
- The right to work in the UK.
Newly qualified physiotherapists with strong MSK placement experience may be considered, provided they can demonstrate good clinical reasoning, confidence and a clear commitment to developing a career in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience working within a private physiotherapy clinic.
- Experience managing self-funding patients.
- Experience handling private medical insurance referrals.
- Knowledge of insurer requirements, treatment authorisations and clinical reporting.
- Experience using Cliniko, TM3 or another clinical practice management system.
- Experience managing an independent MSK caseload.
- Experience treating sports injuries and post-operative patients.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Training in manual therapy, sports rehabilitation or exercise prescription.
- Experience working with consultants, GPs or other referral partners.
- An interest in supporting clinic growth, patient retention and service development.
- CSP membership or appropriate professional indemnity cover.
