JOB TITLE: Komatsu Dozer Driver / Operator
PAY RATE: £25 to £30 per hour (dependent on productive working)
WORKING HOURS: 7:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday and 7:00am – 4:00pm Saturday

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Dozer Driver / Operator to join our team on a project in Cambridge.
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced operator with a strong background in earthworks / groundworks / civil engineering.
The successful candidate must be confident operating dozers safely and efficiently, working accurately to site levels and specifications, and have a good practical knowledge of earth bunds and their formation.
Previous experience operating Komatsu dozers and dozers fitted with GPS / 3D machine-control systems is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate dozers safely and efficiently on civil engineering and earthworks projects
· Carry out bulk earthworks, cut and fill operations, grading, trimming and levelling
· Form, shape and maintain earth bunds to required drawings, levels, profiles and specifications
· Work accurately to required levels, gradients and site specifications
· Use GPS / 3D machine-control systems to achieve required levels and profiles
· Carry out formation and final trim works
· Spread and level soils, aggregates and other materials
· Work from site drawings, levels and digital machine-control information
· Carry out daily machine checks and report defects or maintenance requirements
· Maintain the machine in a clean and safe working condition
· Work collaboratively with Site Managers, supervisors, engineers, groundworkers and other plant operators
· Maintain a safe and organised working area
The Candidate
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Dozer Operator with a proven track record working on civil engineering, groundworks and/or earthworks projects.
You should be confident operating a dozer independently and be capable of achieving accurate levels and finishes. You will also need a good understanding of earth bund construction, shaping and working to specified levels and profiles.
Candidates must have previous experience operating Komatsu dozers and using GPS / 3D machine-control systems.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, dependable, safety-conscious and capable of working efficiently both independently and as part of a wider site team.
Essential Requirements
· Proven experience working as a Komatsu Dozer Driver / Operator
· Previous experience operating dozers fitted with GPS / 3D machine-control systems
· Strong experience in earthworks, grading, trimming and levelling
· Good practical knowledge and experience of forming and working with earth bunds
· Valid CPCS A34 Crawler Tractor/Dozer or NPORS N215 Dozer qualification/card
· Good understanding of site health & safety
· Ability to work accurately to levels, drawings and specifications
· Ability to carry out daily plant checks and identify/report defects
· Good communication skills and reliability
Pay: £25.00-£30.00 per hour
