Valiantys transforms how organisations work by delivering expert solutions for engineering productivity and enterprise service management. We partner with leaders to turn ambition into execution, aligning strategy, operating models, people, processes and technology to deliver meaningful business outcomes. Our work combines transformation consulting with practical AI strategy and orchestration, helping organisations move beyond experimentation and embed intelligent capabilities into the way work actually gets done.
We believe AI is not just a technology shift - it is an operating shift. That means helping organisations identify where AI can create value, redesign workflows, prepare teams, strengthen adoption and build the governance needed to scale responsibly. From enterprise transformation and change leadership to AI-enabled process improvement, operating model design and capability building, we help our clients navigate complexity with clarity and momentum.
We're on an exciting journey ourselves. As a private equity-backed business with ambitious plans for growth, we're investing not only in how we support our clients, but also in how we develop our own people and capabilities. To help accelerate this transformation, we're looking for a Senior Manager – Learning & Capability. This is a unique opportunity to build one of the strategic functions that will shape Valiantys' future, creating the capability, systems and ways of working that will enable our people, our clients and our business to thrive.
This isn't a traditional Learning & Development leadership role.
You won't inherit a mature function with established programmes and processes.
Instead, you'll have the opportunity to create something new.
Working with the Chief People Officer and Chief AI Officer, you'll establish the strategy, operating model and foundations for how capability is developed across Valiantys. You'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, building systems and partnerships that make capability development a strategic driver of business success.
Over 12–24 months, you'll:
Build a brand-new global Capability Development function
Shape how AI capability is developed across the organisation
Establish global capability pathways with our Solutions organisation
Introduce modern learning technologies and governance
Create an AI-enabled approach to capability development
Capability Roadmap — Define and evolve global capability strategy; translate business priorities into capability roadmaps and investment plans.
Strategic Partnership — Build trusted relationships with senior leaders; partner with the Chief AI Officer on AI Fluency strategy; collaborate across Solutions, Change Management and People & Culture.
Delivery & Business Value — Lead capability initiatives across AI Fluency, Transformation Consulting, ESM, SDLC and Leadership, combining learning with coaching, communities of practice and practical application.
Team & Operating Model — Establish the function's operating model; lead the Learning & Capability Manager; foster innovation and continuous improvement.
Governance & Investment — Manage the capability development budget; establish governance frameworks; select and manage learning technology and vendor partnerships.
Scale & AI Enablement — Champion AI-enabled ways of working; identify opportunities to simplify, automate and improve operational efficiency.
Experience shaping learning, capability or talent development strategies in complex organisations
Comfort building new functions and operating through ambiguity
Strong commercial awareness connecting capability development to business outcomes
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
Practical experience using AI and technology to improve productivity
Curiosity, resilience and excellent communication skills
The opportunity to build something that doesn't yet exist — shaping how Capability Development enables our people to grow, our clients to succeed and our business to thrive. As the function grows, you'll influence its direction and define what comes next.
Location: London or remote in the UK.
If you're excited by creating rather than maintaining, we'd love to hear from you.
