Role Description – Labourer (Decommissioning Project)
This is an on‑site, temporary role for a Labourer supporting a decommissioning project in Birmingham. The role involves assisting engineers with dismantling, draining, cleaning, and relocating plant equipment, handling hoses and materials, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and supporting general manual tasks throughout the decommissioning process. You will work alongside the engineering team to ensure all equipment is safely decommissioned and moved in line with site procedures.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Experience in industrial, construction, or engineering‑based labouring
- Confident using basic hand tools and assisting with mechanical tasks
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely around chemicals and plant equipment
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standards
- Experience working on decommissioning or maintenance projects is an advantage
- Technical or vocational training beneficial but not essential
- Valid FLT Licence is an advantage
Pay: £12.50-£16.50 per hour
