About the Role
My Solution Wellbeing is expanding its specialist therapeutic services and is seeking qualified, compassionate, and motivated DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) Counsellors/Therapists to join our growing associate team.
This role offers excellent flexibility for experienced DBT practitioners looking to build or supplement their private practice while receiving client referrals through an established wellbeing service.
Sessions are delivered both online and face-to-face. Our face-to-face appointments are primarily based at our midland offices(therapists should be willing to travel across the Midlands to deliver in-person sessions where required). We aim to match therapists with clients in their local area whenever possible.
This is an ideal opportunity for self-employed practitioners who enjoy flexible working and are happy to accept appointments on a regular weekly basis or on an ad hoc basis, depending on client demand.
About You
We are looking for therapists who are:
- Qualified and experienced in delivering Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
- Warm, approachable and able to build strong therapeutic relationships.
- Professional, reliable and organised.
- Flexible and willing to travel for face-to-face appointments when booked.
- Comfortable delivering both online and in-person therapy.
- Passionate about helping clients develop practical coping skills and emotional resilience.
- Committed to providing high-quality, ethical, evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality DBT-informed therapeutic interventions to adults and young people (where appropriate).
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate treatment plans.
- Deliver sessions both online and face-to-face across the Midlands.
- Travel to agreed therapy locations when client appointments require in-person support.
- Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records in accordance with GDPR and professional standards.
- Manage your own diary and availability, accepting referrals that suit your schedule.
- Maintain regular clinical supervision and Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Work collaboratively with the My Solution Wellbeing team while maintaining your independent self-employed status.
Essential Requirements
- Recognised counselling, psychotherapy or mental health qualification (Level 4 Diploma minimum or equivalent professional qualification).
- Formal training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), with experience delivering DBT interventions.
- Membership or accreditation with a recognised professional body (BACP, UKCP, NCPS, BABCP, NMC, HCPC or equivalent where applicable).
- Current Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Professional indemnity insurance.
- Registered as self-employed with HMRC (or willing to register).
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, with willingness to travel across the Midlands for client appointments.
- Excellent communication, organisation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload.

Working Pattern
This is a flexible associate position. Therapists can offer:
- Regular weekly availability.
- Evening and weekend appointments.
- Daytime appointments.
- Ad hoc availability, accepting sessions as clients are referred.
You will only be expected to travel for appointments that you have agreed to accept.
