The School and Role
We are looking for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school in North Shields. This full-time role is due to begin in September and will continue until July. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.
Working within the team, the desired Teaching Assistant will support children across the provision, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
The successful candidate must hold a full and relevant Teaching Assistant qualification and have recent experience working within a Primary setting. A strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, and supporting children with a range of needs is essential.
Requirements
The desired TA will have:
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
