Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional waier/waitress to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role requires a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued. The waiter/ waitress will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout their shift.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Serve meals and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to during food preparation and serving
- Assist with setting up tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Address guest queries or concerns professionally, aiming for complete satisfaction
- Manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods with excellent time management skills
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with serving procedures, upselling techniques, and guest service standards is preferred
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a bustling environment
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour to ensure positive guest interactions
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
