Job Title: IT Support Technician
Contract Type: Permanent
Please note that this role requires Security Check (SC) clearance. To be eligible for SC clearance, applicants will typically need to have resided in the UK continuously for the last five years and be able to satisfy the relevant security vetting requirements.
As part of the recruitment process, successful candidates will be required to undergo security clearance checks in line with UK Government and MOD requirements.
Location: In terms of location, this role will be based out of either our Bath office (preferred) or our Fareham office and we are happy to explore flexible and hybrid working arrangements. Please note that travel to customer sites or to attend meetings will be required.

As an IT Support Technician, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT services. Acting as a first point of contact for users, you will respond to incidents and service requests, providing timely resolutions while maintaining excellent customer service. Working within an ITIL-aligned environment, you will support incident, problem and change management processes, escalating complex issues where required and collaborating with experienced colleagues to resolve technical challenges.
You will contribute to the continuous improvement of IT services by identifying recurring issues, supporting root cause analysis activities, and helping to enhance support processes and documentation. The role also includes assisting with routine system maintenance, equipment checks, updates and deployments to ensure our technology remains reliable and secure.
Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users, maintain accurate records within service management systems, and support compliance with organisational security policies. You will also contribute to knowledge sharing through the development of internal documentation, FAQs and best practice guidance, helping to build a culture of continuous learning and service excellence.
You are a customer-focused IT professional with a passion for delivering reliable technical support and helping users get the most from technology. You have a solid understanding of IT hardware, software and networking fundamentals, with experience supporting Microsoft-based environments and troubleshooting a range of technical issues.
You are able to communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences, building strong relationships and providing excellent customer service. With an awareness of ITIL principles, you contribute to service improvement initiatives through problem-solving, root cause analysis and process optimisation.
You are comfortable working collaboratively across teams, supporting system upgrades, maintaining secure and compliant IT services, and adapting to changing business needs. A basic understanding of IT operations, cyber security, and compliance requirements, including familiarity with UK MOD security environments, would be advantageous.
