This post is suitable for candidates with previous Paediatric and neonatal experience in level 2 and 3 neonatal unit interested in advancing their paediatric training. Please also see table below. UK NHS experience is desirable.
The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of patients under the supervision of a consultant Paediatrician. Clinical responsibilities will include:
- Children’s ward -ward rounds, discharge planning, acute admissions and seeing paediatric patients in emergency department. (Referrals from Urgent care GP and internal referrals from ED team and all paediatric patients
- Regular attendance and active participation in Paediatric outpatient clinics.
- Participation in overall supervision and education of junior doctors and medical students.
- Taking an active part in the department’s education programme.
- Taking an active part in audit. An audit project is expected in this post.
Assistance in conjunction with consultants and specialist registrars with the teaching of undergraduate medical students.
