We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Periodontist to join our esteemed dental practice in South Croydon. As a Periodontist with our team, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional periodontal care to our diverse patient population.
Location: 143 Haling Park Road Job Type: Part-time Flexible (2-3 days) Pay: 40% Split
Responsibilities
· Diagnose and treat various periodontal conditions including gingivitis, periodontitis, and other gum diseases.
· Perform surgical procedures such as gum grafts, crown lengthening, and dental implant placements.
· Conduct thorough examinations of patients' oral health and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
· Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care techniques.
· Collaborate closely with general dentists and other specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
· Stay abreast of the latest developments in periodontal treatments and technologies.
Requirements
· GDC registered
· Have an MSc or on the specialist list
· Board certification or eligibility in Periodontics.
· Current state license to practice dentistry.
· Proven experience in diagnosing and treating periodontal diseases.
· Proficiency in performing surgical procedures related to periodontics, including flap surgery, bone grafting, and guided tissue regeneration.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Strong commitment to patient care and satisfaction.
· Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Competencies
· Proficient in the use of periodontal diagnostic tools such as periodontal probes, digital radiography, and intraoral cameras.
· Skilled in periodontal treatments including scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, and non-surgical periodontal therapy.
· Experienced in the use of advanced surgical instruments and techniques for periodontal surgeries.
· Knowledgeable about the latest advancements in periodontal regenerative therapies and minimally invasive treatment options.
· Familiarity with dental implantology and the placement of dental implants.
· Ability to interpret diagnostic imaging and periodontal charts accurately.
· Dedication to maintaining a sterile and safe clinical environment in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
