We are seeking an enthusiastic warehouse operative with a strong focus on accurate and efficient packing. You will play a key role in our order‑picking and packing team, ensuring every parcel is prepared to a high standard and dispatched on time.
This job primary focus is on packing, quality control, and order accuracy. Forklift experience is advantageous but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Pick customer orders accurately using pick tickets and warehouse technology
- Inspect items for quality, damage and correctness before packing
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring presentation and protection standards are met
- Prepare packed orders for dispatch, including bagging, labelling and loading into dispatch bays
- Re‑stock inventory manually or with warehouse equipment
- Assist with receiving goods into the warehouse (including occasional forklift use)
- Maintain a clean, organised packing area and follow all safety procedures
Requirements and Skills
- Proven experience in packing, order picking or warehouse work is ideal but not essential
- Experience or licence for forklifts or pallet trucks is an advantage but not required
- Strong attention to detail and a “picky” approach to quality
- Able to read, write and communicate clearly in English
- Diligent, punctual and reliable
- Good physical strength and stamina for standing, lifting and moving stock
- Comfortable using computers, scanners and basic warehouse systems
Pay: £12.71 per hour
