Role Description (Decommissioning Focus)
This is an on‑site, temporary role for a Semi‑Skilled Mechanical Engineer supporting a decommissioning project in Birmingham. The role involves assisting with the safe dismantling, draining, cleaning, and relocation of plant equipment, carrying out basic mechanical tasks, performing plumbing-related work, and completing minor electrical tasks under supervision. You will support the engineering team to ensure all equipment is decommissioned safely, efficiently, and in line with site procedures.
Ideal Experience
- Equipment & preventive maintenance
- Power tool use
- Basic carpentry and plumbing
- Ability to troubleshoot issues independently
- Strong attention to safety
- Industrial or facilities maintenance experience (advantageous)
- Relevant technical/vocational training (advantageous)
- MUST hold a valid FLT licence
Pay: £22.00-£30.00 per hour
