About Us
My Favourite Sandwich is shaking up London’s sandwich scene with bold, flavour-packed sandwiches that blend nostalgia with creativity. Born in Shoreditch, we’ve built a loyal following for inventive twists on classic comfort food.
We’re more than just a sandwich shop. We’re a community. We know our customers by name, remember their orders (and sometimes their dog’s birthday), and believe hospitality should feel personal. Our pastel pink has become our calling card; a symbol of comfort, quality, and joy.
In under a year, we’ve opened three sites: our original Shoreditch store, a Soho flagship, and a newly opened Paddington Square location, with a Mayfair opening planned for Spring 2027. As we scale, we’re looking for an exceptional Operations Manager to help lead our next phase of growth.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced, people-first Operations Manager to play a key role in scaling My Favourite Sandwich while protecting what makes us special. You’ll oversee a group of restaurants, supporting and developing General Managers, ensuring consistent operational excellence, and driving strong commercial performance.
You’ll be hands-on, visible in the business, and deeply invested in building high-performing teams, world-class guest experiences, and scalable systems that support sustainable growth.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Operations & Brand Standards
Lead, coach, and inspire General Managers across 3–5 restaurants to consistently deliver best-in-class guest experiences, strong team engagement, and high operational standards. Act as a visible, hands-on leader, setting expectations and role-modelling excellence.
Financial & Commercial Management
Own multi-site P&L performance, driving revenue growth, cost control, and margin improvement. Support GMs in understanding financial data and translating insights into practical actions across sales, labour, food margins, and profitability.
People, Talent & Performance
Build and develop high-performing leadership teams through recruitment, coaching, succession planning, and development. Create a positive, feedback-led performance culture aligned with our values and growth ambitions.
Process Improvement & Consistency
Review, improve, and codify operational processes to drive consistency, simplicity, and scalability across the group. Identify inefficiencies, implement best practice, and ensure systems are clearly documented, embedded, and maintained without losing brand personality.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Expansion
Work closely with central teams including People, Finance, Food, and Marketing to support new openings, menu launches, and brand initiatives. Act as the operational voice of the restaurants, balancing ambition with operational and commercial reality.
What We Offer
A competitive package with long-term upside
A competitive base salary (depending on experience), plus annual bonus and LTIP. This is a long-term opportunity with clear headroom to grow as the business expands.
Strong leadership and engaged founders
You’ll work alongside an experienced senior leadership team with backgrounds from some of the most successful hospitality businesses in the sector, focused on getting better as we grow.
Autonomy with real accountability
You’ll be trusted to lead in your own style, make decisions, and own outcomes — supported by clear expectations, proper resources, and accountability.
A people-first business that still performs
We believe in doing things the right way. Developing people, delivering standout guest experiences, and running great restaurants go hand in hand. We want to be the best restaurant company to work for — and you’ll help us get there.
