We are seeking an experienced and motivated Heating Engineer to join our friendly, family-run business. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual to become an integral part of our growing team, with a varied role encompassing boiler installations and replacements, servicing, maintenance, and general site work.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on increased responsibility over time, with the potential to progress into a role overseeing and managing job sites.
A 3-month probationary period will apply, following which a staff and salary review will be conducted.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, service, and repair domestic heating systems
- Carry out boiler replacements and associated plumbing work
- Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
- Diagnose and troubleshoot heating system faults
- Complete plumbing and heating installations to a high standard
- Carry out work in accordance with relevant regulations, standards, and company procedures
- Take accurate measurements and calculations as required
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team
- Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and other contractors
- Assist with general site duties and heavy lifting where required
- Take increasing responsibility for the organisation and management of job sites as experience develops
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Heating Engineer or in a closely related role
- Strong practical and mechanical knowledge
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good understanding of basic mathematics, measurements, and calculations
- Physically capable of carrying out the duties required, including heavy lifting where necessary
Desirable Qualifications
- Relevant heating and plumbing qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications
- Experience with boiler installations, servicing, and fault finding
- Additional manufacturer or industry-specific training
