Job Role:
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable, and motivated individual to join our growing team as a Fence Erector.
This is a varied, hands-on outdoor role working across rural and urban locations. No two days are the same, with works including fencing, footbridge construction/maintaince, vegetation management, and the maintenance of public rights of way (underfoot).
Key Responsibilities:
- Erect and repair a wide range of fencing specifications.
- Build, install, and repair timber/composite/steel footbridges, boardwalks, gates, stiles, and other countryside access structures.
- Carry out maintenance and improvement works on public rights of way (underfoot).
- Clear vegetation using hand tools and powered equipment.
- Complete other adhoc works.
- Operate and maintain a variety of tools, plant, and machinery safely.
- Work to high standards of quality while following health and safety procedures.
- Represent the company professionally when working on public and private land.
What We're Looking For Essential:
- Experience in fencing, construction, landscaping, or a similar outdoor role.
- Good practical skills and the ability to use a range of hand and power tools.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Desirable:
- Experience building timber/composite/steel structures such as bridges, gates, or boardwalks.
- Chainsaw, brushcutter, or hedge trimmer qualifications (NPTC/LANTRA).
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- CSCS card.
