Work base: Tan y Gopa, Abergele
We are looking for dedicated hard working Road Worker to join our Open Spaces Team.
You will play a key role in maintaining, repairing and constructing roads, footpaths, and highways to ensure safe and accessible infrastructure for the public.
A current HGV licence is a required for this role.
Weekend and night working may, on occasions, be required as part of the normal working week. The successful candidates will be required to take part in an out-of-hours call-out duty rota, and also in a rota for winter gritting activities.
Job responsibilities:
- Carry out road maintenance, including resurfacing, pothole repairs and laying tarmac
- Operating machinery and tools safely and efficiently
- Set up traffic management systems, including signage and barriers
- Ensure work complies with health and safety standards
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions as part of a team
- Assist with emergency response repairs as required
