CMF Building & Landscaping Limited is looking for an experienced Hard Landscaper / Multi-Skilled Groundworker to join our growing team on a full-time PAYE basis.
This is a skilled position and not a general labouring role. We need somebody who can produce high-quality work, think ahead, work confidently without constant supervision and maintain a productive pace throughout the working day.
The successful applicant must be competent in several areas, including:
- Laying porcelain paving to a high standard
- Laying Indian sandstone and other natural stone
- Setting out patios with correct levels, falls and drainage
- Preparing and compacting sub-bases
- Mixing and laying full mortar beds, priming slabs and grouting
- Block laying, including retaining walls, garden walls and steps
- Fencing, gates, decking and general timber work
- Accurate measuring, marking and cutting
- General groundwork, drainage and site preparation
- Safely using mixers, compactors, disc cutters and power tools
- Reading basic drawings and following job specifications
The successful applicant must:
- Have proven experience in hard landscaping or construction
- Produce work to a consistently high standard
- Take pride in their workmanship and finishing
- Be reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
- Be able to plan ahead and identify what needs doing next
- Communicate professionally with customers and other team members
- Keep work areas organised, safe and tidy
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Be able to travel to our Carmarthen base
Experience operating mini diggers and dumpers would be beneficial but is not essential. CSCS, plant tickets and first-aid qualifications would also be advantageous.
