We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning and Reporting Analyst to play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Network Asset Management Plan and associated Business Plans.
In this role, you’ll transform data into meaningful insight through high‑quality analysis, performance monitoring and reporting. Your work will support effective decision‑making, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. Working collaboratively across Network teams and with external stakeholders, you’ll help enable increased delivery capacity, maximise customer value and support Cadent’s reputation for operational excellence.
- Make a real impact through insight. Monitor performance against regulatory outputs and investment plans, identifying risks, opportunities and trends that support confident programme delivery.
- Be at the heart of performance reporting. Produce accurate, timely MI, from weekly dashboards to monthly governance packs, that supports both Network and central decision‑making and clearly tells the performance story.
- Strengthen data quality and confidence. Investigate and resolve data issues, support regulatory reporting activity and help improve the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of planning and reporting information.
- Influence collaboration and reputation. Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to support coordinated activity and effective delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement. Identify opportunities to apply process improvement and best‑practice approaches that improve efficiency, consistency and outcomes for customers and the business.
- Champion safety and Cadent values. Promote a positive safety culture through proactive behaviours while consistently demonstrating Cadent Values and a customer‑focused approach.
- Collaboration & Improvement – a collaborative mindset with a strong focus on data quality, continuous improvement and shared learning, plus a valid UK Driving Licence
- Management Information & Reporting – experience producing high‑quality MI and performance reports in a fast‑paced operational environment
- Data Analysis & Insight – strong ability to interpret complex datasets, identify trends, risks and opportunities, and develop practical solutions
- Performance Monitoring – proven experience tracking delivery across multiple programmes against plan and regulatory requirements
- Process & System Knowledge – solid understanding of Cadent processes, systems and the wider commercial and regulatory context
- Regulatory & Governance Awareness – strong knowledge of relevant policies, regulations, standards and governance frameworks
- Communication & Translation – excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical data into clear, actionable insight
- Organisation & Prioritisation – highly organised and self‑motivated, able to manage competing priorities and meet challenging deadlines
