Job Summary
Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Night Porter, where you will be the welcoming face and vigilant guardian of our property during the overnight hours. This vital role ensures a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for guests, visitors, and staff alike. As a Night Porter, you will oversee the smooth operation of late-night services, maintain security protocols, and provide exceptional service with a proactive and energetic approach. Your dedication will help create a positive experience for everyone who stays or visits during the night shift. You'll be working on a 4 on 4 off basis 10pm-7am.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests arriving during nighttime hours, ensuring a warm and professional welcome
- Monitor security systems, including CCTV cameras and alarm panels, to safeguard the premises throughout the night
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify and address any security concerns or maintenance issues
- Respond promptly to emergency situations or guest requests with confidence and efficiency
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in common areas, including hallways, entrances, and staff facilities
- Log all activities, incidents, and maintenance requests accurately in shift reports
- Support janitorial duties as needed to uphold hygiene standards across the property
Requirements
- Previous hotel experience or background in hospitality is highly desirable
- Experience in janitorial or cleaning roles to ensure a well-maintained environment
- Strong observational skills with an eye for detail during security patrols
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform cleaning duties for extended periods
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts on a regular basis
