Parts Centre Administrator (Aftersales)

Salary: £29,000 – £30,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are working with a large, well-established manufacturing business in Telford to recruit a Parts Centre Administrator into their aftersales operation. This is a permanent role at the heart of a busy Parts Centre, supporting a UK-wide network of end users and service partners who rely on fast, accurate parts supply to keep machinery running.
It will suit someone who enjoys a varied, customer-focused administration role and is comfortable working at pace across email, telephone and an ERP system.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a busy shared inbox, prioritising and responding to enquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Handling inbound telephone calls from end users and service partners across the UK
- Accurately entering and processing parts orders on the company's ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 / AX)
- Reading and interpreting machine parts lists and technical diagrams to help customers identify the correct parts
- Liaising with internal departments to resolve queries on availability, lead times and order status
- Maintaining accurate records and order documentation throughout the process
- Providing occasional picking and packing support during peak periods and to cover holiday absence
- Supporting the wider Parts Centre team with general administrative duties as required

About You
Essential
- Previous experience in an administration, customer service, internal sales or parts/aftersales environment
- Confident telephone manner and strong written communication skills for customer-facing email
- Comfortable working with an ERP or order processing system, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to prioritise a high volume of enquiries and manage competing deadlines
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to support the warehouse team when needed
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
Desirable
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 or AX
- Background in manufacturing, engineering, automotive, plant or a similar technical parts environment
- Experience reading parts lists, exploded diagrams or technical schematics
- Understanding of aftersales or spare parts supply chains
