Job Description
Play is a bold new nightclub concept launching in Gloucester, operated by Church Farm Hospitality Ltd. We're looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our growing team and help support the day-to-day running of the venue.
Experience in the late-night sector is essential; previous supervisory experience is a strong advantage but not required for the right candidate.
About You:
- Experience working within a quality bar or nightclub environment, ideally with some supervisory responsibility (e.g. shift leading, team leading, or similar).
- Ability to deal with changing priorities and work demands, staying calm and solution-focused when issues arise.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work using your own initiative, take a proactive approach, and multi-task effectively.
- A genuine passion for delivering great service and customer experience.
- Willingness to learn the basics of cash handling, stock management and shift reporting.
- An interest in understanding how a venue runs commercially, with support and training provided.
- Ability to help motivate and support a team on the floor.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
What can we do for you?
- Competitive annual salary depending on experience.
- Bonus scheme and other benefits.
- Full training and a genuine path to progress into a more senior management role as Play grows in Gloucester.
All applicants must be well presented, professional, a strong communicator with excellent overall operational standards. You must also be eligible to work in the UK.
This is a full-time, permanent role. The role requires flexibility, as business needs will differ week to week — this is by no means a 9 to 5 role, and all applicants should take this into consideration. Our team love what they do, and we look for that same passion to run through everything we do at Play.
