Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at Deeside 4x4 Workshop. Ideally but not necessarily with some experience in Land Rover vehicles.
We specialise in Land Rover vehicles ONLY so 4x4 vehicle experience will definitely represent an advantage . The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be adept at diagnosing and performing repair work on all parts of a vehicle, including the engine, exhaust system, air conditioning and electrical system.
Duties
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs
- Diagnose vehicle faults manually or with the aid of software and digital tools
- Repair and replace faulty vehicle parts
- Perform test drives to check repairs
- Carrying out scheduled servicing and maintenance
- Utilise power tools and hand tools for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Installing and fitting new vehicle accessories
- Perform welding tasks as required for equipment/vehicle repair / training can be provided
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings for effective troubleshooting.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently ,a.e :tyres
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction throughout the repair process.
- Excellent understanding of the principles of vehicle mechanics
- Working knowledge of repair tools and machinery
- Manual dexterity
- Good physical fitness and stamina
- Problem-solving skills
- Customer service skills proffered but not essential
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skillsThe minimum education requirement is a college level course such as a Level 2 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair OR a Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Technology
This salary expectation depends on the candidate’s level of experience, area of specialisation , level of training and commitment.
