Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health and Safety Advisor to champion workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance with health regulations. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and monitor safety protocols across the organization, fostering a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement. Your expertise will help protect our team members, visitors, and contractors while promoting a safe working environment that aligns with legal standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments across all facilities to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and update health and safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Deliver engaging safety training sessions to educate staff on safe work practices, emergency procedures, and accident prevention.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, or near-misses thoroughly by performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, corrective measures taken, and ongoing safety performance metrics.
- Coordinate first aid responses when necessary, ensuring timely assistance and proper documentation of incidents.
- Promote a culture of safety by encouraging open communication about hazards and fostering employee participation in safety initiatives.
Skills
- Proven experience in health and safety advisory roles within a dynamic work environment.
- Strong knowledge of local health and safety legislation, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to clearly document investigations, findings, and recommendations.
- Skilled in conducting root cause analysis to identify underlying issues behind incidents or hazards.
- Certified in first aid to provide immediate assistance during emergencies.
- Effective communicator capable of delivering engaging training sessions and facilitating safety discussions.
- Ability to analyze complex situations quickly and develop practical solutions that enhance workplace safety.

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
