Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Manager to oversee the day to day running and ensure the highest standards of service within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for animal care, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role is pivotal in maintaining a positive environment for both staff and customers while managing daily activities effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team, ensuring all members are motivated and performing to their best abilities
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer enquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
- Ensure the welfare of animals in our care by implementing best practices in animal handling and care
- Manage administrative tasks such as taking bookings, record keeping, reporting, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with heavy lifting as required during the handling of animals or equipment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a managerial role is essential, preferably within an animal care or veterinary setting
- Strong background in customer service with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively
- Experience with heavy lifting is necessary for this role due to the physical demands involved
- A passion for animal welfare and confidence in animal handling is required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to interact with staff and clients effectively.
