We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join the our busy accountancy practice.
The ideal candidate will be experienced and ready to hit the ground running in all aspects of bookkeeping, including:
- Sole responsibility for your own bookkeeping client list - completion and submission of VAT returns, liaising with clients regarding VAT queries, liaising with HMRC, ensuring high quality.
- Year-end bookkeeping for a wide variety of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- Bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.
Essential Criteria:
- Must be confident using Xero, preferably with Xero Certification.
- A candidate who feels that they can transition from other cloud-based platforms welcome to apply.
- Must be confident working to tight deadlines, and completing VAT returns from start to finish.
- Experience of CIS.
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge of BrightPay payroll and workplace pension schemes
- AAT level 4 or equivalent (qualified by experience would also be accepted)

Pay: £28,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
