Sales Assistant Role at Victoria Gate, Leeds
Since 1975, Baytree Interiors has been retailing its own unique range of interior accessories and gifts from our shops across Yorkshire. This Christmas, we’re excited to be returning to Victoria Gate, Leeds with our very own Christmas Pop-Up Store!
We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Sales Assistants to join our team and help create an exceptional shopping experience for our customers throughout the festive season.
As a Store Sales Assistant, you will play an important role in delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining high standards throughout the store and ensuring our customers receive a warm and welcoming Baytree experience.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering exceptional customer service in line with Baytree Interiors' standards.
- Developing a strong knowledge and understanding of our products and merchandising plans.
- Replenishing products and maintaining attractive displays on the shop floor.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping and presentation standards throughout the store.
- Maintaining good attendance and being reliable and punctual in line with your agreed working schedule.
- Following company procedures relating to security, cash handling, health and safety.
- Working proactively as part of a team and sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues.
- Being a positive representative of Baytree Interiors and going the extra mile to deliver an excellent customer experience.
What We're Looking For
Previous retail experience is desirable, along with a genuine enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service.
Knowledge or experience within the interiors, furniture or home accessories industry would be advantageous, although a willingness to learn and develop a strong knowledge of our products is equally important.
You should be:
- Friendly, approachable and confident when dealing with customers.
- Reliable, flexible and able to work as part of a team.
- Comfortable working independently, as some lone working will be required.
- Passionate about great products, presentation and creating an enjoyable shopping experience.
Hours and Contract
This is a part-time, fixed-term position, working 16 hours per week.
The contract will run from the end of September 2026 until the end of January 2027.
The role will include weekday and weekend working, and applicants must be available to work weekends and provide holiday cover where required. Some lone working will also be involved.
Pay and Benefits
Hourly rate: Up to £12.75 per hour, dependent on age and experience.
