Whether you’re starting your career, returning to work, or looking for a change, you can gain TWO nationally recognised Level 2 qualifications designed to build your knowledge and confidence when supporting children and young people.
You’ll work towards:
Level 2 Certificate in Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)
Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Children and Young People's Mental Health
There is no cost to eligible learners.
You’ll learn about:
Supporting children with SEND and additional needs
Autism and neurodiversity
ADHD and communication differences
Children's mental health and emotional wellbeing
Creating safe, inclusive and supportive learning environments
Understanding and responding to children's individual needs
These skills can help you prepare for opportunities supporting children in schools, nurseries, colleges and other educational settings.

Duration: 7 weeks
Sessions: Monday to Friday | 11:00am–12:30pm
Delivery: Live online virtual classroom
Live session attendance is required.
You will need access to a laptop or desktop computer with an internet connection. Assessments form part of the course.

You may be eligible if you:
Are 19 or over before 1 September 2026
Ordinarily live in England and meet the relevant residency requirements
Are not currently studying another government-funded course or attending university
Can attend the live sessions Monday to Friday, 11:00am–12:30pm
