We're looking for an ambitious Sales Executive who is passionate about finding new opportunities, developing customer relationships and helping DoughGirl continue its exciting growth journey.
About the Role
As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and growing existing customer accounts across wholesale, retail, hospitality, foodservice and corporate gifting.
You'll spend much of your time speaking with prospective customers, arranging meetings, presenting the DoughGirl range and building long-term relationships that drive sustainable sales growth.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys achieving targets, developing new business and representing a premium food brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new wholesale and trade accounts for DoughGirl.
- Build relationships with cafés, coffee shops, farm shops, delicatessens, garden centres, independent retailers, hospitality businesses and distributors.
- Develop existing customer accounts to maximise sales opportunities.
- Manage the full sales process from initial enquiry through to onboarding.
- Arrange customer visits and product presentations.
- Prepare quotations and follow up opportunities.
- Maintain an accurate CRM database and sales pipeline.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Identify opportunities for new product listings and seasonal promotions.
- Work closely with the Marketing team on campaigns and product launches.
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions and networking events.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
- Provide weekly reports on pipeline activity, sales performance and forecasts.
- Deliver outstanding customer service before and after the sale.

Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Previous experience in a sales or business development role.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confident telephone manner and face-to-face presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated and target driven.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience selling food or FMCG products.
- Knowledge of the wholesale food industry.
- Experience working with independent retailers or hospitality businesses.
- Experience using CRM software.

Working Hours
Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work to attend trade shows, customer events or exhibitions.
