Overview
Join our family farm team as a General Farm Worker. In this role, you will actively participate in daily farm operations including feeding, scraping ,milking ,tractor work and insuring all our animals are happy and well. Your energy and dedication will help maintain a productive, safe, and sustainable farm setting where teamwork and initiative are valued.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of farm equipment using hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical knowledge to keep machinery in top working order.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks such as moving feed, supplies, or harvested crops safely and efficiently.
- Care for animals by feeding, watering, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring their health to promote well-being.
- Follow safety protocols during all tasks, ensuring a secure environment for yourself
- Milking in our 24/24 herringbone parlour
- Tractor work
Requirements.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
- Basic maths and English skills.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, power tools, and performing equipment repairs is preferred.
- Familiarity with animal care routines and maintaining clean enclosures is desirable.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to farm operations and safety procedures.
- Milking experience.
- Basic Tractor work skills.
