Our client has an opportunity for a Warehouse Driver/Forklift Operator to join them on a contract basis for 4 months from the start date.
This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including the safe and efficient transportation of goods to and from RAF Fairford, secure escort duties within restricted areas, and proficient operation of forklifts for material handling, all while adhering to strict security protocols and Part 145 regulations.
Role: Warehouse Driver/Forklift Operator
Location: Brize Norton, Oxfordshire
Hourly Rate: £22 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35
Clearance: BPSS required before starting
What you'll be doing:

Adhere to all documented Company Quality System procedures when carrying out operational duties

Ensure all items are loaded/unloaded/handled according to the logistics/airworthiness directives

Ensure all documents printed are in order by sorting them before packing/box closure

Ensure a safe and clean working environment is maintained at all times
-
Endeavour to improve quality of work wherever possible
-
Inform the Manager/Team Leader of any process errors or system issues in a timely manner
-
Assist the Warehouse Management with any reasonable adhoc request
-
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and PT 145 requirements
-
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
-
Work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities
-
Be vigilant in regard to FOD (Foreign object Debris) control
-
Complete the 4-month contract period with a high level of performance and professionalism
-
Adapt quickly to the company's specific processes and procedures
Operate company vehicles (Vans 3.5T Van and forklifts.) safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies

Requirements:
Essential
-
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
-
Forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain certification)
-
Proven experience in driving, transportation, and forklift operation
-
Experience in escort or security duties within a regulated environment is highly desirable
-
Must be eligible to maintain a security clearance to NATO standard
-
Demonstrated understanding of Part 145 regulations and their application to aircraft maintenance

Ability to operate various types of vehicles and material handling equipment
-
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, particularly within a PT145 environment
-
Strong knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and security protocols
-
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and observation skills
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under strict security and regulatory guidelines
-
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and security awareness
-
Ability to lift and move heavy objects
-
Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and security vetting
-
Ability to read and interpret maps, directions, and technical documentation
-
Experience in a Material support/Supply chain role
