Nursery Room Leader / Third in Charge – Reading, Berkshire RG10
Salary: Up to £33,150 per year | Up to £15.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours: 40–42.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday | Shifts between 7:30am–6:30pm
Contract: Permanent, all year round
Please note: We cannot accommodate term-time or school-hours working. A driver with access to a vehicle is required due to the rural location.
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Nursery Room Leader / Third in Charge to join our beautiful countryside nursery in Reading, Berkshire RG10.
Surrounded by meadows and forest school areas, our nursery provides children with wonderful opportunities to learn, explore, and thrive outdoors. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Room Leader looking to step into a management role, or a current Deputy Manager seeking a fresh challenge. As part of the leadership team, you will support the day-to-day running of the nursery while helping to maintain high standards of care and education within the rooms.

Responsibilities
- Support the management team and cover the Deputy Manager when required
- Deliver outstanding childcare and early years education
- Contribute to the day-to-day running and development of the nursery
- Support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment
About You
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant)
- Previous experience as a Room Leader or similar
- Friendly, patient, and supportive team player
- Passion for outdoor learning and inclusive practice
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Driver with access to a vehicle
- Eligible to work in the UK
