Rebound Care and Support are seeking to recruit flexible experienced brain injury support workers to support our client. Our client is a male who is in is 14 years old lives with his family in Prestwich.
Our client was diagnosed with Dyskinetic Cerebral Palsy secondary to Crigler-Najjar Syndrome Type 1. You will be working on 2:1 basis.
This role involves supporting client in his routine, ensuring his safety, comfort, and well-being. Focusing on rehabilitation, structure, emotional well-being, and promoting independence. The team will support with after-school activities, including swimming, and day-to-day care and social engagement during the holidays.
The role will focus on providing personalised support to enhance our client’s independence, supporting with rehab structure, well- being. You will be working in close collaboration with the client’s multi-disciplinary team, the client and his family. Due to the hearing loss, knowledge of British sign language would be a benefit, however, training will be provided. Due to the client location, we are currently looking for staff who have full driving licence and have got access to their own vehicle.
Shifts:
Term-time:
4 hours after school Monday to Friday (4-8pm)
6 hours on a Saturday and Sunday daytime (9am – 1pm)
School holidays:
6 hours Monday to Friday daytime (9am – 3pm)
6 hours Saturday (9am – 3pm) and Sunday 4 hours (9am – 1pm) daytime
Pay
£17.00 - £20.00
Responsibilities
- Following personalised support plans and risk assessments
- Assist individuals in accessing community ( as and when needed) to improve their quality of life.
- Support individuals in setting and achieving their personal goals.
- Provide guidance and support to the client, ensuring best practices and a person-centered approach.
- Assist service users attend health activities.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all support provided, maintaining professional and respectful documentation.
Experience
- We are looking for supportive, patient and committed team members to provide the care during the day.
- The Ideal candidates will need to have experience in working with BI clients, attention to detail and have a can-do attitude.
Training & Background Checks
An enhanced DBS check & full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client and you will also be supported by our clinical lead nurse for the area.
