Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all areas are kept in pristine condition. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior janitorial experience or those looking to develop their skills within the cleaning industry. Hours are Monday to Friday from 4.30pm for a total of 7.5 hours.
Please note this is for holiday cover for approximately 1 week.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas
- Clean and sanitise washrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to meet health and safety standards
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure it is in good working order
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll as needed
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times during cleaning activities
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning duties to management
- Adhere to company policies regarding confidentiality and security of premises
Skills
- Experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
