Duties
- Decorate cakes and desserts with intricate designs, piping, fondant, and other decorative techniques to meet customer specifications.
- Prepare cake fillings, frostings, and toppings ensuring freshness and quality standards are maintained.
- Assist in the preparation of baked goods, including measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and assembling cakes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the decorating station in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with customers or team members to customize cake designs for birthdays, weddings, or special events.
- Ensure all baked goods are presented attractively and delivered on time for customer pickup or delivery.
- Follow all food safety procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards across the bakery.
Experience
- Proven experience in food production, baking, or culinary arts, preferably within a bakery or restaurant setting.
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and decorating methods specific to cake artistry.
- Knowledge of kitchen safety practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail is highly valued.
- Familiarity with various decorating tools such as piping bags, fondant cutters, and airbrushing equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members while managing multiple orders efficiently.
