As an HR Officer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality HR support across Cheshire East Council, providing expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on a broad range of people matters.
About the role
This role sits within our HR Operations service, providing professional, practical and people-focused HR support across Cheshire East Council. As an HR Officer, you will work closely with managers and employees to deliver expert advice on a wide range of employee relations and workforce matters, helping to ensure fair, consistent and legally compliant people practices across the organisation.
You will manage a varied caseload, supporting areas such as, attendance management, disciplinary and grievance matters, capability, redeployment, TUPE and organisational change. Working alongside HR Business Partners and senior HR colleagues, you will help translate business needs into effective people solutions, contribute to workforce initiatives and projects, and support the delivery of the Council's Workforce Strategy.

About you
You will have:
- MCIPD qualification and experience of providing professional HR advice across a broad range of employee relations and workforce matters.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR policies and procedures, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and attendance management processes.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence, support and challenge managers appropriately.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, produce reports and make evidence-based recommendations.
- Excellent organisational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to manage a varied workload and support formal HR processes and hearings.
