We are seeking Goods in and Despatch Operators for our client based in Newry.
Pay Rate: £12.71 Per Hour
Job Type: Full Time, Temporary Ongoing
Hours Per Week: 37.5
Working Hours:
Dispatch Operator: Sunday and Thursday 11am – 9m, Monday-Wednesday and Saturday is 12pm – 8pm – 5 work days
Goods in Operative: Shift times is 4am – 2pm or 9am -6pm and it is 5 out of 7 days
Job Duties:
- Recording of goods inwards / outwards in line with company policy
- Take delivery of goods delivered, ensure that goods are checked off in an accurate and timely manner and check for damages and quantity
- Update company system to enable accurate stock level maintenance
- Allocate goods to the correct area of the service yard and notify departments of their arrival
- Ensure the service yard and stores are clean and tidy and maintained to the highest standards
- Maintain logs of equipment as required
- Ensure equipment used by other departments is returned to storage after use in line with Company policy
- Assist with Stock Takes as required
- Liaising with various departments to ensure stock is maintained and monitored
- Receive, pack, count and record stock from production line into trays and boxes.
- Checking for quality against company set specification.
- Sort stock into orders from pick sheets
- Maintaining high levels of both personal and equipment hygiene cleaning station down at end of shift ready for the next day.
- Assisting with other areas of dispatch as and when needed.
- Comply with all site health and safety policies.
- Comply with site food hygiene polices.
Job Criteria:
- Experience of working in a similar role, involving work in stores and yard responsibility
- A knowledge of good practice relating to Health & Safety regulations
- IT literate and knowledge of stock systems
- Able to work on own initiative
- Good level of written and spoken English
