Personal Assistant – 36 Hours per Week – Yarm
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Personal Assistant to join an established support team assisting a friendly middle-aged gentleman in Yarm.
Our client enjoys an active social life, including shopping trips, social outings, and days out in the community. He is a wheelchair user and requires support with daily living activities to maintain his independence and quality of life.
This position is for 36 hours per week, with additional opportunities for overtime.
Main Duties
- Assisting with personal care, including getting out of bed, showering, dressing, and bedtime routines
- Preparing and cooking meals
- Supporting with household tasks and general housekeeping
- Accompanying the client on shopping trips and social outings
- Providing support to enable participation in community activities
Hours of Work
Flexibility is essential, as shifts are worked on a rota basis with no fixed days or times. Typical shifts may include:
- 12-hour day shift
- 13-hour night shift
Previous experience in a paid or unpaid caring role would be beneficial, although full training can be provided for the right candidate.
Essential Requirements
- Aged 25 or over for insurance purposes
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Flexible and reliable approach to work
Successful applicants will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
Rate of Pay: £13.35 per hour.
