Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Pick-up Driver / Labourer to join our team. This role involves transporting goods, assisting with warehouse tasks, and supporting daily operations across various locations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in delivery driving and warehouse work, possess strong communication skills, and be comfortable with heavy lifting. A valid driver’s licence, preferably a <PERSON> driver licence, and experience in commercial driving are essential for this position.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles for the collection and delivery of goods to specified locations
- Load and unload items, ensuring correct handling and secure transportation
- Assist with warehouse organisation, including stock movement and inventory management
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, maintaining safety standards at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding deliveries or pick-up schedules
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Follow all health and safety regulations during operations to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Proven delivery driver experience, ideally within a commercial or warehouse setting
- Valid <PERSON> driver licence; experience with commercial driving is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Physically fit with the stamina to handle repetitive lifting and long periods of driving or standing
