Summary
We are seeking a full-time, or minimum of 3 days, dedicated adult Speech and Language Therapist with neurological experience to join our team in Stockport. This role is vital in helping individuals improve their communication skills and quality of life through expert assessment and therapy. Based in Manchester SLT, you will contribute to our mission of providing accessible, high-quality speech therapy services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of adult clients with speech, language, or swallowing difficulties.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Deliver evidence-based therapy sessions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatments, and progress reports.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in speech therapy practices.
- Educate clients and their families about strategies to improve communication.
- Promote a positive environment that encourages client engagement and progress.
Qualifications
- Qualified Speech and Language Therapist
- HCPC registration.
- Proven experience working with adult clients with speech or swallowing disorders.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of an MDT.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Knowledge of local healthcare regulations is advantageous.
