Job Summary
Driven by continued business growth, we are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to strengthen our Facilities Team. This role will be key to the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of our buildings, grounds, and site infrastructure, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard and in compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Responsibilities include
- Perform planned inspections and maintenance of grounds, buildings, fixed assets, and portable assets
- Perform legislative compliance maintenance as directed by the planned maintenance schedules
- Perform corrective and reactive maintenance as required
- Seasonal gardening and grounds maintenance including lawn cutting, strimming, leaf clearance, hedge cutting, litter picking, weeding, road and kerbside maintenance
- Complete requests for support, maintenance, and improvements as directed
- Support the continuous improvement of maintenance schedules and procedures
- Support the continuous improvement of the site facilities as directed by the Facilities Manager
- Support with the implementation of capital projects as required
- Assist with the management of contractors
- Ensure all activities comply with EHS regulations and company policies, while supporting the EHS manager where required
- Ensure waste is managed according to regulations and company policies
- Parts procurement for maintenance and improvement projects
- Maintain sufficient stock levels of spare parts and consumable items
- Support the other engineering teams with maintenance as required
- Feedback requirements for tools and equipment to the Facilities Manager.
- Operate various mobile equipment such as telehandler, cherry picker, and tractors.
- Support the implementation of DEFRA and AONB policies in conjunction with the Countryside Stewardship Agreement
- Assist with the site preparation for events and post event clean-up activities
Essential Requirements
- Experience with building and grounds maintenance
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
- Remain flexible while at work and able to prioritise assigned tasks
- Able to work independently
- Always keep safety in mind
- Fluent in English (Verbal & Written)
- Basic IT skills
- Confidence to work at height
- Full UK driving licence
