At NEP UK, we deliver some of the most technically advanced outside broadcasts and live productions in the industry. From major sporting events and entertainment shows to international broadcasts, our engineers work at the heart of live television, using industry-leading technology to bring content to audiences around the world.
We're looking for experienced Guarantee Vision Engineers and Network Engineers to join our Engineering team. These are senior technical roles responsible for leading the deployment, operation, and support of critical broadcast systems across our fleet of outside broadcast trucks, flypacks, and remote production facilities.
As a Guarantee Engineer, you'll be a recognised technical specialist, trusted to take ownership of complex systems, lead engineering delivery in live environments, and help shape the future of NEP's technology platforms as the industry continues its transition towards IP and software-defined production.
You'll play a leading role throughout the broadcast lifecycle, from technical planning and system design through to live event delivery and post-production review.
Working alongside some of the industry's most experienced engineers and technical managers, you'll ensure our vision and network infrastructures perform flawlessly in demanding live environments.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Leading the preparation, configuration, testing, and operation of vision systems for outside broadcasts and live productions.
- Taking ownership of camera systems, CCUs, vision mixers, routers, multiviewers, monitoring systems, and signal distribution infrastructure.
- Supporting and leading the deployment of both SDI and IP-based production workflows.
- Acting as the primary technical authority for vision systems during live productions.
- Diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues under operational pressure.
- Supporting fleet upgrades, technical innovation projects, and new system deployments.
- Mentoring and developing Vision Engineers and junior engineering colleagues.
- Maintaining engineering standards, documentation, and operational best practice.
- Leading the design, deployment, configuration, and support of broadcast network infrastructure across OB trucks, flypacks, and remote production environments.
- Managing IP-based production systems, including SMPTE ST 2110 workflows, multicast routing, PTP timing, and network resilience.
- Acting as the technical lead for network architecture and connectivity during live productions.
- Supporting integration between broadcast systems, control platforms, and wider production infrastructure.
- Diagnosing and resolving complex network and systems issues in live operational environments.
- Contributing to network strategy, standardisation, and future technology development.
- Supporting engineering teams with technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Maintaining network documentation, operational procedures, and engineering standards.
Our facilities continue to evolve as the industry embraces IP, virtualisation, and software-defined workflows. Depending on your specialism, you'll work with technologies including:
- SMPTE ST 2110 production environments
- Broadcast networking, multicast, spine-leaf architectures, and PTP timing systems
- Vision mixers, routing systems, multi-viewers, and monitoring platforms
- Camera systems and CCU infrastructure
- Broadcast control, orchestration, and management platforms
- Network switching and routing technologies
- Remote production and contribution systems
- Industry-leading technologies from manufacturers including Sony, Grass Valley, EVS, Lawo, Evertz, Cisco, Arista, Riedel, and others
You may already be working as a Vision Engineer, Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, or in a similar technical role within outside broadcast, live production, broadcast facilities, or media technology environments.
We're particularly interested in people who:
- Have significant experience supporting complex live broadcast or live production environments.
- Possess deep technical expertise within either vision systems or broadcast networking.
- Have strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills in high-pressure operational environments.
- Are confident taking ownership of critical systems and making technical decisions during live events.
- Have experience working with IP-based production technologies and modern broadcast infrastructures.
- Enjoy mentoring colleagues and sharing technical knowledge.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Take pride in delivering reliable, high-quality technical solutions for clients and production teams.
You'll be recognised as a trusted technical leader within the engineering team, capable of owning and supporting complex broadcast systems while delivering exceptional results in live operational environments.
You'll help ensure the reliability, performance, and evolution of NEP's vision and network infrastructures, contribute to the development of engineering standards and future technologies, and play a key role in delivering world-class productions for clients across the UK and beyond.
Most importantly, you'll help NEP continue to set the benchmark for technical excellence in live broadcast production.
