HGV Trailer Technician – Up to £50,000 – Monday to Friday (Day Shift)

About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced HGV Trailer Technician to join our busy workshop in Oldham. This is a stable, full‑time position working Monday to Friday on a day shift, ideal for someone confident in trailer servicing, repairs, diagnostics and safety inspections.
You will work across a mixed fleet of HGV trailers, including curtain‑siders, box trailers, refrigerated units and specialist bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Trailer servicing including full inspections and defect rectification
- Brake relines, drums, hubs, bearings and chambers
- Air system diagnostics including valves, modulators and air leaks
- EBS/ABS diagnostics and sensor replacement
- Lighting and electrical repairs including suzie lines and wiring faults
- Bodywork repairs including curtains, doors, floors and frames
- Working with BPW, SAF, Mercedes and Gray & Adams running gear
- Completing job cards and maintenance records accurately
Requirements
- Experience as an HGV Trailer Technician, Trailer Mechanic or similar
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic background
- Confident working on brakes, hubs, air systems and electrical faults
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Full UK driving licence preferred
