First Line CCTV Operator (Nights) - Full Time
Monday to Friday Night Shifts
The Role
We are seeking a professional and reliable First Line CCTV Operator to join our busy Remote Video Receiving Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and processing CCTV activations received from our clients' premises in accordance with company procedures and operational standards.
You will also handle incoming telephone calls from clients, accurately recording and processing information while providing a high standard of customer service, as well as internal alarms such as Intruder & Fire Alarms.
Working Hours
Our Central Station operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and as such flexibility is essential.
This position is a permanent full-time night shift role, working an average of 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Friday nights
- Start: 00:00
- Finish: 08:00
- Includes a 1-hour unpaid break
- Total paid hours: 7 hours per shift
We do prefer operators starting 15 minutes earlier to ensure they are ready to start before 00:00 ensuring a smooth handover with the previous team & they can also leave approximately 15 minutes earlier. For example, a Monday night shift will commence at 23:45 on Monday and finish at 07:45 on Tuesday morning.
Although this role is primarily Monday to Friday nights, attendance on certain Bank Holidays and Public Holidays (Including Christmas, New Years, Ramadan etc)may be required in line with operational requirements.
Training and Accreditation
Full training will be provided to ensure you become fully proficient in all operational procedures and systems.
Successful applicants will be required to:
- Pass police vetting procedures conducted by the local Constabulary.
- Provide a fully checkable 5-year employment history.
- Successfully complete all required training and accreditation programmes.
Salary
This is a salaried position offering:
£24,240 per annum
Salary is paid monthly on the last working day of each calendar month.

What We're Looking For
We're seeking individuals who can remain calm under pressure, demonstrate sound judgement, and maintain a professional approach in all situations.
The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, security-minded, and capable of working in a dynamic operational environment with minimal supervision.
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid SIA CCTV Licence, SIA Door Supervisor Licence, or SIA Security Guarding Licence

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience within a CCTV Monitoring Centre, Alarm Receiving Centre, Security Operations Centre, or Control Room environment
- Previous customer service or telephone-based experience (1 Year)
Training & Vetting
- Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you become fully competent in all operational procedures, systems, and customer service requirements.
- Successful candidates will be required to:
- Complete all internal training and competency assessments.
- Pass the relevant screening and vetting procedures.
- Provide a fully checkable 5-year employment history.
- Maintain the required SIA licence throughout employment & always have it on their person with easy access to it.
