About Us & The Role
Able Lifting Gear Ltd is a trusted local lifting equipment and safety specialist serving businesses across South Wales. We are looking for a reliable, qualified LOLER Inspector or a person with a good knowledge of lifting equipment standards (training will be arranged) to join our team, carrying out statutory thorough examinations and inspections in full compliance with LOLER 1998 and related safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete thorough examinations of all types of lifting equipment: cranes, hoists, forklifts, slings, shackles, lifting accessories and more
- Issue accurate statutory inspection reports
- Identify safety defects, explain required actions to clients, and ensure full compliance
- Maintain clear, up-to-date inspection records
What You Need
- Mandatory: LEEA Accredited Inspector status or equivalent recognised LOLER qualification
- Proven experience carrying out statutory LOLER examinations
- Full UK driving licence with no major endorsements
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with clients
- Good attention to detail for reports
Desirable
- Experience with PUWER inspections or MEWP/access equipment
- CSCS card
- Knowledge of local industrial, construction and port sites
