We are currently looking for a skilled and dependable Furniture Technician to join our team and support our operations in the Aberdeen, Dundee, and Kirkcaldy areas.
Job Summary:
As a Furniture Technician with ISM Furniture Networks, you will play a vital role in assessing and repairing a wide range of furniture for manufacturers and retailers within the furniture industry. You will ensure that each project is completed to the highest standards, reflecting our commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble furniture items accurately and efficiently on-site.
- Repair and refurbish damaged or worn furniture.
- Diagnose and resolve furniture-related issues.
- Maintain and care for tools and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines and company policies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a furniture technician, fitter, or in a related role.
- Strong woodworking and mechanical skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a professional attitude.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel within the designated areas.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and perform manual tasks.
- IT Skills – Basic skills on accessing a system and using this correctly from a desktop, Apple or Android device
Qualifications:
- Experience working with manufacturers and retailers within the furniture industry preferred.
- Knowledge of furniture materials, fittings, and finishing techniques.
- Skilled in the safe use of power tools and hand tools.
